Sid and Nancy

I found this image in an old 'Interview' magazine from 1986 of Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen.
I think that it is just downright cool. The colours, the font, the poses, their desaturated colour.
i think it is a neat design choice to have the desaturated (basically b/g) figures in contrast with the text. it is a powerful pose that perhaps if in colour would have overpowered the text, the aim of the advertisement.
anyway, i hope you enjoy this discovery as much as i do.

Hmm dont know what to write...first blog entry... ever!

Mad stew… it may sound like I am a crazy old woman or “man”, says cate my co-student from the other side of the desk. Maybe I am then… “Stay CRAZY” yells Callum another student from somewhere in our design lab.

Crazy… crazy is ok, I think. Normal is boring, no??

Hopefully this blog will display the odd, different, unique and ultimately crazy side of life/art and design… oh and share some of the work that I am doing at the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
